Summer camp weddings have always felt so special to me, Nicola and Vanessa's wedding at Camp Kintail in Goderich, ON was no exception. This wedding was a particularly sweet day. Nicola and Vanessa adore each other and they shared a determination to create a day that was not only reflective of who they are, but of their deep love for their guests as well.

Nicola and Vanessa are so warm and genuine, it was easy to fall in love with them immediately (even over Zoom). They care so deeply for their friends & family and spent countless hours making sure their wedding was a testament to that love. Their choice to get married at Camp Kintail was perfect - it allowed them to not only get married in a stunning patch of nature but also to spend the entire weekend celebrating with the people they love the most. The efforts they went to make everyone feel special and important were evident throughout my time at Camp Kintail. Nicola & Vanessa are truly wonderful humans and I'll hold this wedding day with extra special fondness in my memories.

There were dozens of special & unique ways these amazing ladies made their day not only about them but also about community. One of the most touching parts of the day was the ceremony. Nicola and Vanessa had selected guests to share their own love stories, creating an intimate and personal atmosphere that truly set their wedding apart. Guests were fully present during the ceremony with no phones in sight. The absence of devices allowed everyone to fully engage in the moment, creating an intimate and connected experience that was truly special.

Vanessa & Nicola made a point to steal away from their reception for a few minutes to capture some quiet moments together in their favourite spots at the camp. Of course, no wedding at Camp Kintail would be complete without mentioning the incredible sunset over the lake. The sight of Nicola and Vanessa, being their silly & sweet selves in the glow of the setting sun was a moment I will always remember.

The day ended as it began: filled with love, laughter, and a sense of community that extended even to myself. Nicola and Vanessa's wedding was a celebration of not only their love for each other but also their love for their family and friends. It was a day that was truly as unique and special as they are, and it was an honour to be part of it. I'm so grateful for the experience and look forward to seeing where their journey takes them next. Here's to Nicola and Vanessa, and to a life filled with as much love and joy as was shared on their wedding day.
